Report a bug or suggest a feature
Something doesn't work? Report it from the app and attach a screenshot or a screen recording. Missing something? Suggest it on the feature board, or vote for an idea that's already there.
Report a bug
- In the app, open Help (the question mark at the top) and choose Report a bug. On a video that didn't finish, use Report this next to the error. On garren.si and here in the docs, Report a bug is in the footer.
- The app shows what it sends along so the report is complete: your account and plan, the page you're on, the video or batch, the last edit's status and error, your browser and system, and recent errors in the app. Choose Open the chat.
- Tell the support chat what you did, what you expected and what happened. Attach a screenshot (PNG, JPG) or a screen recording (MP4, MOV, WebM) with the paperclip, up to 200 MB.
The support chat answers right away. Often it's something it can explain or fix with you on the spot, like a link that isn't shared or an edit to start again. If it's a real bug, it writes it up for the team with your files and the details above, and you hear back by email.
You can also write to support@garren.si.
Suggest a feature
The feature board lists what creators asked for, with votes and where each idea stands:
| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| Under review | We're looking at it |
| Planned | It's coming |
| In progress | We're building it |
| Shipped | It's in Garren |
- Vote for an idea you want too. Voting and adding ideas works with your Garren account: the buttons open the board in the app.
- Suggest an idea if it isn't there yet: a short title and a sentence on what you want to do.
- Or tell the support chat (Help › Feedback & ideas). It writes the idea up, adds your vote to a matching one or adds a new one, and sends you the link.
Votes help decide what comes next. Who voted is never shown. When an idea you voted for ships, Garren emails you.
