How styles work
A style is the look of your edits: captions, graphics, fonts, colours, zooms, the pace of the cut, music, sound effects and b-roll. Every video uses one.
Three kinds
| What it is | Plans | |
|---|---|---|
| Ready-made styles | Four styles by Garren: Bold, Clean, Editorial and Pop. Add your brand colour. | Every plan and the free first video |
| Custom styles | Built from up to three videos you like. In Beta. | Starter 1, Creator 3, Pro 10 |
| No style | Only the cut, plus what you switch on. | Every plan |
All your styles are on the Styles page. Agencies usually keep one style per client, so every video for that client looks the same.
Where you change a style
There are three places, and each one reaches a different number of videos.
The style itself (in the Style Lab for a custom style, on the style's page for a ready-made one). Changes here apply to every new video in that style.
This video, before the edit. On the New video page, the options under the style change only the video you're about to make: zooms, captions, graphics, music and sound effects (Off, Normal or High), the pace of the cuts, b-roll and the music. Use the style's settings resets them.
This video, after the edit. In the review room, the Style and Sound tabs and the chat change the finished video. The style itself stays as it is.
Levels
Zooms, graphics, captions, music and sound effects each have three levels: Off, Normal and High. Normal is the style as it was made. See Levels: Off, Normal, High.
